We are also well trained to manage the return of your assets when your data centers encounter defective components or peripherals, employees turn in equipment for memory upgrades or are leaving the company. This service is particularly valuable when equipment is leased and lease dates need to be managed. Our warehouse management system monitors the leased equipment end date and you are notified in advance so decisions can be made to either buyout or trade in leased equipment for new equipment.
All assets, capital equipment, including leases are asset tagged and tracked to wherever they are deployed in your network ensuring that recalls for any reason can be managed effectively. This is done through our state of the art 3PL warehouse management system using barcode technology to drive quality and accuracy into the process.
To streamline the communications, we connect our 3PL warehouse management system to you using EDI (electronic data interchange) connectivity to your company’s system whether it’s an ERP (SAP, Oracle), accounting system (Sage, QB) and/or CRM (Salesforce) to make order placement and inventory visibility seamless. We also offer a web-based dashboard to give you inventory visibility and order management capabilities, all real-time, when you do not have access to your system for any reason. If for some reason you do not have access to your system or the internet, you can call a customer service rep. who is assigned to your account and also manages the day-to-day operation to ensure emergencies, mistakes or questions are addressed and resolved immediately. Since your customer service rep. is already handling your day-to-day service needs, this person will be well versed in handling your asset / equipment needs and emergencies, when they arise.
Another way we go above and beyond is by using our own company trucks to deliver critical assets or leased equipment to your data center or corporate offices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. To complement this, we also have our own motorcycles to make small parcel deliveries in case of time sensitive emergencies. This method is used to mitigate traffic congestion during high commute hours, which can be very frequent. We also use BART and other methods of public transportation wherever possible to ensure time sensitive deliveries are made without the worry of bumper-to-bumper traffic.
To further optimize the management of your assets and leased equipment, we coordinate Returns directly with your lessor(s) to confirm lease-end dates and with your manufacturer(s) to confirm warranty status. If an asset is determined to be out of warranty, we work with your repair vendors to arrange service and/or repair when beneficial. We then provide fulfillment and shipping services to the appropriate trading partner using our small parcel shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS etc.). We are also a FedEx Board approved value-add provider.
Once assets are repaired, serviced, replaced or leased, we then coordinate with your trading partners to receive the equipment back into our warehouse for redeployment to your data centers or corportate offices through one of the transportation methods outlined above.
By the way, this process also fits the rented asset model which is commonly used by one of our customers in the medical device industry. We have a robust decontamination process to handle returned medical device rentals.
Last but not least, we also provide light repair, assembly and testing services. This will minimize transportation costs and transit times which keeps your assets optimally and cost effectively available.
With two ISO certifications (9001 & 13485 medical device) our quality is second to none. Our facility also boasts a heightened level of security with all exits & entrances monitored by CCTV, motion sensors throughout and evening and weekend security guards roving externally. Employees also receive robbery response training. We subscribe to TAPA guidelines as another way to ensure a well documented and proactive security program is always in place.
